31 Nights of Horror Movies — The Uninvited

Hello, everyone!

October is finally here, and that can only mean one thing: it’s horror movie season!

As customarily, my 31 Nights of Horror Movies section is back.

For those reading my blog for the first time, it goes like this: I select 31 horror movies with a common theme (for example, last year’s was Asian horror), and randomly choose 7 each week. Then, throughout October, I watch one of them every night and share my thoughts.

For this year’s edition, I was contemplating various themes: movies dealing with pandemics, lesser-known films by famous horror directors, best sequels, etc… But since 2020 is the year I finally moved out of my old place, I decided to celebrate it by watching films that deal with haunted houses.

After looking around for ideas and suggestions, I stumbled upon this list from Flickchart, and selected 31 films I haven’t seen yet.

As always, you can catch my first impressions on social media (this time I’ll probably be more active on Instagram stories and Twitter), and I’ll try to review my favorites on this blog.

For now, here’s the selection for the first week, if you want to watch along:
